Being a good neighbor to local residents and businesses residing near construction of current and future water supply facilities and pipelines is important to the Water Authority. Construction projects may have temporary impacts on noise, air quality, traffic, and use of public facilities. Because of this, the Water Authority has an active notification program for communities affected by construction projects. We work with residents and businesses to reduce those impacts as much as possible, and to ensure neighbors are aware of impacts that could affect their daily routines. On large, long-term projects, community meetings are also held for the Water Authority staff to better understand neighborhood concerns and issues.
