The purpose of this project is the rehabilitation of approximately 16,500 feet of existing pre-stressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP) along Pipeline 4 from SR-52 to Lake Murray, and approximately 3,000 feet of Pipeline 3 from the 30-inch Interconnect southwards along Lake Shore Dr.

The project consists of a 48-inch diameter, venturi flowmeter installation and associated concrete vault with power, lighting, ventilation, access control, security, and instrumentation. The project will provide metering capabilities for flows from the Miramar Pump Station.

The work includes installation of disconnect switches, conduit, GFCI receptacles, and wiring.

The work includes installation of electrical insulation panels, blockouts, lifting eyes, tie-off anchors, swing gates, and a monorail within the existing facility.

Inject cracks in existing roof deck and apply crystalline waterproofing.

Install asphalt, curb, and raising fiber optic box

Construct a 50-acre Sport Fishery Pond at Wister Management Area in Imperial County. Project includes excavation of material and disposal in the adjacent pond, supply and installation of approximately 2000 feet of 24 inch HDPE pipe to deliver water to the site, 100 feet of 36 inch HDPE, gates, cleanouts/manholes, etc.

This project converts fallow agricultural fields to wetlands by establishing a permanent hydraulic connection to the Tijuana river. Project implementation requires the removal of existing flood control berms, the construction of new flood control berms, site grading, irrigation system installation, procurement and installation of native seed mixture and plants, and the operation and maintenance of the irrigation system and vegetation.

The San Diego County Water Authority is seeking proposals from qualified firms for engineering services for preliminary design, midpoint design, final design, conformed final design, bid phase, and construction support services for the Lake Murray Control Valve project. The project design elements generally include construction of a flow control facility, installation of fiber optic communication and conduit, and removal of the Navajo vent and installation of a new air release/air vacuum structure. The Water Authority is seeking proposals from qualified firms for design professional services to provide engineering services for preliminary design, midpoint design, final design, conformed final design, bid phase, and construction support services for the Nob Hill Improvements project. The project design elements generally include: Design New Pipeline 1. Lower top of Second Aqueduct Pipelines 3 and 4 below Elevation 735 through Nob Hill to avoid transients under certain operational flow scenarios involving the Rancho Penasquitos Pressure Control/Hydroelectric Facility and proposed Mission Trails Flow Regulatory Structure II. 2. Approximately 840 feet within existing Second Aqueduct right-of-way (approximately between Station 3828+00 and 3837+00 of Pipeline 3). 3. 102-inch diameter welded steel pipe. 4. Connect to Pipeline 3 and Pipeline 4. Arrange shutdown for final pipeline connections to be completed within the Water Authority’s 10-day shutdown requirement. 5. Install a new 10-inch air release and vacuum valve on new pipeline. Design New Permanent Access Road Construct 10 foot wide paved access road between Scripps Lake Drive and existing Scripps Nob Hill Condominium paved access road. Design Other Second Aqueduct Appurtenances Install new air release and vacuum valve assembly and vault on Pipeline 3 at station 3860+03 The design criteria are defined in the project scope of work. Repair and Install Fiber Optic Cable

The San Diego County Water Authority is seeking proposals from qualified providers to administer a turf replacement rebate program. The Contractor will assist the Water Authority in enrolling participants; implement, manage, track, and report on Program progress; conduct landscape design plan checks, when applicable; perform random sampling of post-conversion site inspections; and otherwise assist the Water Authority in successfully administering the Program.

The San Diego County Water Authority is seeking proposals from qualified Contractors to provide HVAC maintenance and inspection services at its headquarters located at 4677 Overland Avenue, San Diego CA 92123. Contractor shall provide qualified personnel (employed directly by the Contractor), tools, equipment, and materials to provide quarterly maintenance, inspection and monitoring services for the HVAC system. Contractor assigned to the Water Authority shall possess a valid California Class C20 Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning contractor license, or, the appropriate Special California contractor license at the time of proposal submission and for the duration of the contract. Contractor-assigned personnel must have training and experience on Trane Tracer Summit Software and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD). A mandatory pre-proposal meeting will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012, at 8:30 a.m., in the Water Authority Board Room located at 4677 Overland Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123. No other viewing appointments shall be available. No proposals will be accepted if not in attendance at the pre-proposal meeting.
