| Lake Murray Control Valve The San Diego County Water Authority is seeking proposals from qualified firms for engineering services for preliminary design, midpoint design, final design, conformed final design, bid phase, and construction support services for the Lake Murray Control Valve project. The project design elements generally include construction of a flow control facility, installation of fiber optic communication and conduit, and removal of the Navajo vent and installation of a new air release/air vacuum structure. | Nob Hill Improvements The Water Authority is seeking proposals from qualified firms for design professional services to provide engineering services for preliminary design, midpoint design, final design, conformed final design, bid phase, and construction support services for the Nob Hill Improvements project. The project design elements generally include: Design New Pipeline 1. Lower top of Second Aqueduct Pipelines 3 and 4 below Elevation 735 through Nob Hill to avoid transients under certain operational flow scenarios involving the Rancho Penasquitos Pressure Control/Hydroelectric Facility and proposed Mission Trails Flow Regulatory Structure II. 2. Approximately 840 feet within existing Second Aqueduct right-of-way (approximately between Station 3828+00 and 3837+00 of Pipeline 3). 3. 102-inch diameter welded steel pipe. 4. Connect to Pipeline 3 and Pipeline 4. Arrange shutdown for final pipeline connections to be completed within the Water Authority’s 10-day shutdown requirement. 5. Install a new 10-inch air release and vacuum valve on new pipeline. Design New Permanent Access Road Construct 10 foot wide paved access road between Scripps Lake Drive and existing Scripps Nob Hill Condominium paved access road. Design Other Second Aqueduct Appurtenances Install new air release and vacuum valve assembly and vault on Pipeline 3 at station 3860+03 The design criteria are defined in the project scope of work. | HVAC Maintenance and Inspection Services The San Diego County Water Authority is seeking proposals from qualified Contractors to provide HVAC maintenance and inspection services at its headquarters located at 4677 Overland Avenue, San Diego CA 92123. Contractor shall provide qualified personnel (employed directly by the Contractor), tools, equipment, and materials to provide quarterly maintenance, inspection and monitoring services for the HVAC system. Contractor assigned to the Water Authority shall possess a valid California Class C20 Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning contractor license, or, the appropriate Special California contractor license at the time of proposal submission and for the duration of the contract. Contractor-assigned personnel must have training and experience on Trane Tracer Summit Software and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD). A mandatory pre-proposal meeting will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012, at 8:30 a.m., in the Water Authority Board Room located at 4677 Overland Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123. No other viewing appointments shall be available. No proposals will be accepted if not in attendance at the pre-proposal meeting. |
